Objective

The Global Diversity Roundtable is designed to provide a confidential forum for the exchange of leading edge practices, strategies, and methodologies in global diversity; to allow participants to explore success factors and derailers for current global diversity initiatives; to collaboratively identify solutions and future directions; receive data on peer concerns and strategies; and to develop a network of colleagues who can be an ongoing resource.

Membership

The Global Diversity Roundtable is open by invitation only. It consists of senior representatives of a cross section of multinational companies drawn from the U.S. and abroad. Prospective members are identified by the group or by the Roundtable sponsors. Each participating company may nominate a principal and an alternate representative.

Meetings

The Global Diversity Roundtable meets twice a year, in the spring and in the fall. Each meeting is one day in length and all meetings take place in a highly interactive and confidential environment. To ensure continuity, either the principal representative or the designated alternate from each member company is expected to attend each meeting.

Roundtable Sponsors

The Roundtable sponsors include Lee Gardenswartz, Ph.D. and Anita Rowe, Ph.D. of the Los Angeles-based firm, Gardenswartz and Rowe; Martin Bennett of Oakland, CA-based Bennett & Associates; and Patricia Digh of the Washington, DC-based firm, RealWork.

The role of the sponsors is to facilitate the interchange of information among Roundtable members as the group's administrator. The sponsors will prepare meeting agendas, invite guest speakers, and collect data from member companies for summary at each meeting. The sponsors will also make meeting arrangements, and maintain a directory of member organizations.

The sponsors of the Global Diversity Roundtable are currently finalizing their next book, The Global Diversity Reference Guide, which will be published by John Wiley/Jossey-Bass in early 2003. To receive information about the book as it is finalized, please email: info@realwork.com.
